Privacy Policy
Pocket Poker is operated by TayGames ("we", "us", "our"). Pocket Poker is a Texas Hold'em learning, training, reference, strategy, and tracking app. It is not a real-money gambling service. Any strategy guidance, recommendations, charts, drills, quizzes, examples, or training content in the app are provided for educational purposes only and do not guarantee that you will win poker hands, win tournaments, make money, or become profitable.

Free-only build note: the version of Pocket Poker shipped to Google Play today does not include Pocket Poker Pro, Pro+, Google Play subscriptions, RevenueCat purchase verification, or Google Gemini AI coaching. Sections of this policy that mention those features describe planned functionality for a future update — they are not active in this build. Until they ship, no purchase, AI prompt, or RevenueCat receipt is processed.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Pocket Poker, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your email address, display name, sign-in method, and account status.
- Authentication and security information, such as login state, verification records, and anti-bot or anti-abuse signals used during sign-up or sign-in.
- Poker Academy data, such as progress, XP, streaks, achievements, missed questions, challenge completion, leaderboard preference, and related training state.
- Engagement and reward data, such as daily rewards, quests, power-ups, chest history, energy state, milestones, coins, gems, and similar in-app reward systems.
- Tool data, such as custom blind structures, blind timer runtime state, and session tracker entries.
- Session tracker information that you choose to enter, including dates, buy-ins, payouts, finish positions, and notes.
- Settings and preferences, such as audio settings, onboarding state, tutorial completion, and local app preferences.
- Leaderboard data, if you opt in, such as your display name and leaderboard stats like XP, rank, stars, streak, levels completed, and related summary stats.
- Support and bug report data, such as the message you submit, chosen severity, the screen you were on when reporting, recent in-app activity or error logs relevant to the issue, device or browser details reasonably needed to diagnose the issue, and an optional screenshot if you choose to attach one. Screenshots may capture content visible on your screen at the time of capture.
- Advertising and consent data, including ad requests, ad performance, rewarded-ad history, banner impressions, consent-related status, and data processed by advertising or consent providers.
- Technical and usage information reasonably needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app, such as local app activity, error details, and screen-usage timing.
2. How We Use Information
We may use the information above to:
- create, verify, restore, and secure your account;
- let you use guest mode or signed-in mode;
- sync your progress, settings, sessions, and tools across devices;
- run the Poker Academy, rewards systems, leaderboard, session tracker, blind timer, and related app features;
- provide strategy, training, and educational content inside the app;
- let you opt in to public leaderboard display and remove your leaderboard presence if you opt out;
- respond to bug reports, support requests, and technical issues;
- detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, bots, misuse, or security problems;
- show ads, manage ad eligibility, and measure ad delivery or rewarded-ad events;
- send in-app notices, broadcasts, or feature-related messages; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may still share information with service providers, platform providers, advertising providers, consent providers, and other parties as described in this Privacy Policy in order to operate, secure, support, and fund the app.
We may share or make data available in the following situations:
- With service providers that help us operate the app, including authentication, database, storage, anti-bot, hosting, support, or advertising providers.
- With Google services if you choose Google sign-in.
- With leaderboard viewers, but only for the information that is intentionally made public through the leaderboard feature, and only if you opt in.
- With platform providers, app stores, or infrastructure providers where needed to distribute, secure, or operate the app.
- If required by law, legal process, government request, fraud investigation, or to protect users, the app, or our rights.
- As part of a business transition such as a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to applicable law.
4. Third-Party Services
Active in this build (free-only launch):
- Supabase, for authentication, account sessions, database sync, and storage.
- Google sign-in, when a user chooses that login method.
- Google AdMob and related consent tooling, for banner ads, rewarded ads, and ad-consent handling where applicable.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, when bot protection is enabled on auth screens.
Planned for a future update (NOT active in this build):
- Google Play Billing, for subscription purchase handling once Pocket Poker Pro or Pro+ is enabled.
- RevenueCat, for subscription receipt verification, entitlement state, and subscription-management tooling once Pro / Pro+ is enabled.
- Google Gemini (provided by Google LLC), accessed only through a Pocket Poker server-side gateway, once AI coaching is enabled. The gateway will send Google Gemini a redacted hand or question summary; it will not send your email, display name, advertising ID, Academy progress, or any direct identifier. AI coaching will only be available with an active Pocket Poker Pro or Pro+ subscription, and only inside Pocket Poker's Academy, saved practice hands, Academy mistakes, and Decision Checkup; it will never be used to coach a hand in a live game.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. The full Pocket Poker Privacy Policy on the public privacy site lists additional Pro / Pro+ subscription, AI coaching, and product-event details for when those features ship.
5. Ads And Consent
Pocket Poker may display banner ads and optional rewarded ads.
We and our advertising or consent providers may process ad-related data such as ad requests, consent status, impression data, rewarded-ad events, and basic anti-fraud or performance information as reasonably needed to request, deliver, measure, limit, and protect ads.
Rewarded ads are optional and may be unavailable depending on consent status, region, platform behavior, network conditions, or provider restrictions. Where a consent choice flow is shown, users can make ad-related privacy choices through that flow.
6. Leaderboard Visibility
Pocket Poker includes an optional leaderboard.
If you choose to join the leaderboard, your display name and leaderboard stats, such as XP, rank, stars, streak, levels completed, and similar summary stats, may be visible to other users. Your email address is not displayed on the leaderboard.
If you later opt out, we will stop displaying your leaderboard entry within a reasonable period, while keeping your private training progress in your account unless you delete that account.
7. Data Retention And Deletion
We keep different kinds of data for different periods depending on why they are needed.
- Local device data may remain on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the app, sign out, or otherwise remove it.
- Account-linked cloud data may remain until you request deletion, the account is removed, or the data is no longer needed for the service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or retain only the limited information we reasonably need for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, backup cycling, dispute handling, or safe deletion processing.
- We may retain limited records, such as security logs, fraud-prevention records, backup copies for a limited cycle, dispute records, and bug report or support materials, where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or to complete deletion safely.
- Bug reports, logs, screenshots, and support materials may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to investigate and resolve the issue, protect the service, or meet legal obligations.
If you create an account in Pocket Poker, you can request deletion of that account and associated synced cloud data using the in-app deletion path or the public deletion page. Pocket Poker aims to process valid account-deletion requests within 30 days. For a fuller explanation of what deletion requests are intended to cover and what may be retained, see the Pocket Poker Account Deletion page.
8. Your Choices
You may be able to:
- use guest mode instead of creating an account;
- choose whether to opt in to the leaderboard;
- decide whether to include an optional screenshot in a bug report;
- sign out of your account;
- request account deletion;
- clear app data from your device or uninstall the app; and
- use any ad-consent controls that are shown to you where required.
Guest mode is primarily a local-device mode. It lets users access parts of the app without creating an account, but it is not a promise that no data is processed. Local storage, ads, security or anti-abuse tooling, and optional support or bug-report features may still operate in guest mode. Cloud sync is generally tied to signed-in accounts.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app, including the use of networked third-party providers and secure transport where supported. However, no method of storage, sync, or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children And Age
Pocket Poker is not directed to children under 13.
Because the app is poker-related, users should only use it if they also meet any higher age or legal restriction that applies where they live.
11. International Processing
Pocket Poker may use service providers that process information in countries other than the country where the user is located. By using the app, you understand that data may be processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws, subject to applicable legal requirements.
12. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the in-app or public version of this policy and revise the "Last updated" date.
